The Clinic/Team: Inner_about

Our Podiatrists

Claire Murray, Lorraine McLure and Kayleigh Mulherron all graduated with BSc Honours Degrees in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University, following 4 years of intensive study in Podiatric Medicine, Surgery, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, and clinical training at Scotland’s largest specialist acute Podiatry clinical teaching unit, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Claire and Lorraine all worked in acute NHS Podiatry settings before moving into private practice, are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a full range of lower limb and foot pathologies.   They are specialists in Nail Surgery and High-Risk Diabetic, Vascular and Rheumatological foot disorders, including the management of neurovascular ulcers in High-Risk patients.

Kayleigh joined us in September 2020  following her graduation from GCU.  She specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of biomechanical disorders and lower limb sports injuries. Kayleigh practices in both NHS and private settings.

The GFC team were first in the city to make affordable, skilled footcare available for everyone in an accessible high street location.   Since opening in 2010 they have been committed to providing their patients with exceptional care in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and they’re proud that the business has grown entirely through word-of-mouth recommendations. They receive referrals from NHS Primary Care practitioners on a regular basis, and are pro-active in assisting patients in accessing onward NHS Referral Pathways when necessary.

Whether you’re coming for a simple nail cut, or have more complex issues, Claire, Lorraine and Kayleigh have the skills and experience to put you at ease, make your feet feel brand new and greatly improve your quality of life!  Thousands of patients have already been through the doors of the clinic – they look forward to welcoming you too.

Nicola Todd Therapies

GFC was delighted to welcome Nicola Todd Therapies to the clinic in January 2019, and Nicola and her wonderful treatments have very quickly become firm favourites with our Patients.

A Complementary Therapist and Kinetic Chain Release Practitioner, Nicola's journey into the world of holistic therapies began in 2015 when she began her Reflexology training as a relaxing diversion from her challenging career in Corporate Finance.  She very quickly fell in love with her 'hobby' and began to realise there may be a different path ahead for her.  After further training in Swedish Massage, Nicola finally left her 24 year career behind and took the plunge into treating her clients full time.

She has continued to expand her range of skills and treatments since then, with Kinetic Chain Release, Connective Tissue Release, Thai Foot & Leg Massage  and Aromatherapy.  Nicola is also one of only a handful of qualified Oncology Massage Practitioners in the country, and she particularly enjoys being able to bring relief to the patients she treats who are living with cancer.

Look out for even more treatments from Nicola in 2020-21, including Sports Massage & Myofascial Release (we can't wait!).
